This American Heart Association BLS certification training class is a CPR training class for individuals who have a job-related duty to respond to emergencies. Participants learn how to recognize and provide care in respiratory and cardiac emergencies for adults, children and infants. AED instruction is included. This course is appropriate for all participants.
The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA, IDD Waiver, Foster Care), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. This course is appropriate for individuals working in human services, construction, food services, sports and or athletic programs, and others who may require professional certification.
The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course is designed specifically for workers with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as correctional officers, childcare workers, security guards, maintenance workers, school personnel, hotel housekeepers, health and fitness club staff and tattoo artists. This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.
An ACLS certification class for healthcare professionals looking to improve their lifesaving skills in a cardiopulmonary emergency. We offer Update courses at least once a month or more if it is a requested. For provider level classes see the HeartCode option below. Prior to class, students must complete the free AHA online pre-assessment and provide this to the instructor either prior to class or the day of the class
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) class teaches students how to administer lifesaving care on infants and children. We offer Update courses at least once a month or more when requested. Hands-on sessions are conducted in person with an AHA Instructor and are required for all HeartCode online course. Unfortunately, the ATLAS system does not include these listings, so it is up to the student to contact individual Site or Centers for completion. These skills checks focus on meaningful hands-on practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing. We regularly offer skills assessments.
BLS Skills Assessments and Updates can be completed on any day that we regularly offer course (Sun - Wed). Call for more information.
ACLS/PALS Skills Assessments and Update must be scheduled ahead of time as they require a fairly substantial amount of prep AND require advanced instructors to facilitate. Call to schedule.
Resuscitation training can be a time and logistics challenge for healthcare organizations, instructors, and students. HeartCode blended learning from the AHA offers options for high-quality resuscitation training that provide more control of time and resources. Following completion of the AHA online portion of the class, the student would then contact us to schedule a Skills Assessments and any/all relevant Updates.
